Having not started Skype in a while due to being away, I was surprised to find it wouldn't start.

I did some digging, and found that if you go to your home directory, view hidden files and then go to .Skype, there is a file in there called shared.xml

Simply delete this, then restart Skype and it works again.Thought I would post here in case anyone else had the same problem!
